Empório Portugal
Recipe Submission Policy
How to submit community recipes with authorship, attachments, and editorial review.
Update
Last updated: June 6, 2026. The current version is the one published on this page.
This policy details the flow of Submit Recipe and complements the Community Policy.
Information
1. Author's Declaration
By submitting, you confirm that you are the author of the recipe or have family authorization to share it, and that the information is true to the best of your knowledge.
Plagiarized submissions or those with third-party images without permission may be rejected.
Information
2. Expected Content
Include ingredients, preparation method, origin or family/regional context when known, and useful notes (servings, time, variations).
We may adapt text for clarity, editorial standardization, and basic food safety, without altering the main culinary meaning.
Information
3. Images and Attachments
Only submit your own or authorized files (JPG, PNG, WEBP, or PDF). Please refer to the Attachments and Files Policy for limits and types.
Attachments undergo security validation; suspicious files are rejected.
Information
4. Review and Publication
Submission does not guarantee publication, fixed response time, or prominent position in the community.
We may publish with credit to the author, request adjustments, or reject content outside the editorial scope.
Information
5. Editorial License
If published, the recipe may be displayed on the website and related channels of Empório Portugal, with attribution when applicable. There is no automatic compensation, except for specific written agreements.
You retain moral authorship over your contribution, within the limits of Law No. 9.610/1998 and the terms described here.
Information
6. Removal and Corrections
Authors may request correction or removal by contacting us, subject to editorial review and legal retention obligations.
Widely disseminated traditional recipes may remain in an adapted editorial version if already integrated into the published collection — we will analyze on a case-by-case basis.
