About the recipe

Madeira's traditional poncha is an alcoholic drink; here, Empório Portugal proposes an alcohol-free editorial version, inspired by the balance between citrus fruits, honey and freshness.

It is an option to accompany snacks, fish dishes or a Madeiran-themed table.

  • 100 ml lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 250 ml cold sparkling water
  • Ice

Method

  1. Mix orange and lemon juices.
  2. Dissolve the honey in the juices.
  3. Add ice and stir well.
  4. Top up with cold sparkling water.
  5. Decorate with citrus and mint.
  6. Serve immediately.
